This is the 7th in a series of vintage themed designs by Linda Jane Smith. This fabulously nostalgic scene sees those Crazy Cats enjoying a good old Knit and Natter. But just how many are knitting? One or two at best … others are making Cat’s Cradles, modelling finished garments or investigating the cute little knitted birds. The scene is packed with wonderfully colourful detail, courtesy of the balls of wool, flowered crochet pieces, cute knitted kitties, vintage posters and all manner of marvellous bits & pieces. High quality 500 piece cardboard jigsaw puzzle. The finished puzzle measures 49 x 36 cm when complete. Suitable for ages 10 years and up. Made from strong premium grade cardboard, with linen finish print to minimise glare on puzzle image. At Ravensburger we have over 50 years’ worth of experience in the manufacture of puzzles. Not only do we make the best selection of puzzles, we also pride ourselves on having the highest quality. Individual pieces are stamped with such precision that a quiet ""click"" can be heard when one piece is inserted in the other - this phenomenon is so unique that we have given it its own name ‘Softclick Technology.’ Our puzzles are made using unique punching templates and punching tools, which are hand-crafted with watchmaker precision to ensure the greatest possible accuracy and variety of the puzzle pieces.
A note about this image from Birmingham-based artist Linda Jane Smith - 'Knitting is back in fashion again; though in our family it never went away! My Mum knitted cardigans, pullovers, and gloves for all of us, and even made knitted cakes! I love patterns from the 1950's and 60's of men in balaclavas and women in swimsuits that usually doubled in size when immersed in the sea; knitting shop windows with adverts for "Robin Wools", and tiny Sindy clothes pinned onto a peg board!'
