Summer of Play: Join Us for a Summer Full of Games, Pokémon and Adventure

The summer holidays are nearly here, and we’re excited to bring back our Summer of Play.

This year, we’re filling the holidays with gaming, Pokémon, D&D and fun activities for a range of ages, abilities and budgets. Whether your child is already a confident player, just starting out, or simply looking for something fun to do over the summer, we’d love to welcome you along.

Monday Gaming Sessions

Every Monday during the holidays, we’ll be dedicating time to a Summer of Gaming.

There’ll be a selection of games available in-store, with some led by our staff team and others ready for families to sit down and enjoy together. It’s a relaxed, friendly way to try something new, play together and spend a bit of time out of the house during the holidays.

These sessions are free and available as a drop-in activity between 12pm and 2pm every Monday during the school holidays.

Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Pokémon Fun This Summer

We’ll also have a great range of Pokémon events running throughout the summer.

Some sessions will need to be pre-booked and will be paid events, while others will be free drop-in activities. Our free Pokémon sessions are a great chance for children to enjoy some Pokémon fun in a relaxed setting, whether they’re new to the game or already love collecting and playing.

Our free Pokémon sessions will run on:

• 9 July
• 16 July
• 30 July

Children attending free drop-in Pokémon sessions must be accompanied by an adult.

We’re also running a special Start Collecting Day on 23 July. This is perfect for children who are beginning their Pokémon card collection, or who would like to learn more about looking after their cards and trading fairly.

During the session, we’ll share tips and tricks for keeping cards in good condition, checking that trades are fair, and building confidence as a collector. Children will also get to open some packs as part of the event.

The Start Collecting Day requires pre-booking.

Teen D&D Adventures

For our older adventurers, our Teen D&D sessions will be running during the summer holidays.

Our usual after-school club is moving to daytime sessions for the holidays, making it a brilliant opportunity for new adventurers to give Dungeons & Dragons a try, as well as for those who can’t normally attend during term time.

Teen D&D will run on:

• 15 July
• 29 July
• 12 August

Sessions are £5 each, and booking is flexible. You can join us for one, two or all three sessions, depending on what works for you.

Character sheets will be available, and all abilities are welcome, so don’t worry if you’re completely new to D&D.
