Upcoming For Warhammer in 2020

This year has brought many ups and downs already; but fear not hobbyists your 2020 is about to get brighter either by the light of Lumineth for Age of Sigmar, or via the Emperor's Eternal Blaze if you're a 40k fan.

If you live in Aberdeen or close-by, you can now pre-order the newest sets that are releasing in the near future for Indomitus. The new Lumineth Box Set will be available on the website within a few days to pre-order.

The details of each box are very different, with the Lumineth having more concrete information so we will delve into it first.

Available on the 27/06/2020, the Lumineth (or High Elves) are being reborn into Sigmar from their roots. If you played the High Elves of old Warhammer, it's a very similar background. These Elves ooze elegance both in their armour values, fighting styles and of course, magic/arcane power.

The HQ choice in this box, has one of Games Workshop's newest types; a hollow model. The center mass of the model Eltharion, is non-existent. He is a shell, made to depict a broken form of his former self where his will, armour and blades shine brighter than ever. While writing this, there is a small want to put a white LED and put him at the top of a Christmas Tree come December. However humorous the thought may be, it is a fantastic looking model and at the moment in time, one of a kind in terms of design.

16x Models are included:

1x Eltharion (see above)

10x Vanari Auralan Wardens; these are your infantry choice. They are armed with pikes and shields, making them perfect for defensive and objective holding operations.

5x Vanari Dawnriders; Aelven horse riders able to pierce lines of foes and wither the enemy alike.

All models besides Eltharion are fully customisable allowing alternate build options to be able to make Champions and have them fully to your own liking.

With the Aelves covered, we move onto the new 40k box to be released; Indomitus.

Now Indomitus isn't just a new box set release, where we see the newly revealed or exclusive units. In the newest addition all of the new miniatures will be push-fit. No more will you require an extra pot of glue to frantically assemble the set!

From the fantastic closer look at the models on Games Workshops' Community Page - which I'd highly recommend if you want to look at them closer - there looks to be a whopping 62 models in the box!

The Necrons are getting a revamp with their gauss weapons no longer having these small green neon tubes to affix to their weapons during the painting process, no the new design allows for a different colour of gauss - some have been seen with purple or even orange.

Meanwhile the Adeptas Astartes are getting new types of troops, two of which are the anticipated Bladeguard Veterans with their very gothic but mighty looking shields and the new Judicar who looks like a witch-hunter on the prowl with his lantern and double handed sword.

Not to mention the most important part, even if you are not a loyal servant of the Emperor or a Xeno faithful of the undying machines, the new 9th Edition Rule Book will be released alongside it.

New Overwatch rules have been scouted on the horizon, along with a new campaign mode: Crusade! All these will be revealed with time I'm sure, but it's already looking to be a cracking set!

All the best folks, and happy hobbying!
