Bookmark it, note it on the calendar, scribble it on your points list(s)! This is the day you can officially pre-order the best box set ever made (so far, a high bar to follow) for Warhammer 40k and well worth the money for what you get inside.
Not only do you get at least 65 models (approx.) for the Adeptus Astartes and Necrons which look absolutely terrific (or terrifying) - but you get the new Core Rule book and some handy booklets like the Munitorum & Mission Pack that has a list of all the points values you'll need for some extra missions to bring the new box set to life.
Not to mention you get a "wee" booklet called "The Edge of Silence". This booklet is your guide to not only datasheets for what's in the box, but the lore - otherwise dignified as "fluff" by veterans of the hobby - for what and why of the story revolving around the set.
The official release is the 25th of July - so only 2 weeks from the initial pre-order date. Don't forget they are only available in limited quantities!
Sadly for the other Xenos races it seems that they'll be waiting just a fraction longer for something new albeit it looks as if there's lots in the pipeline this year! Could be worse and have to live with metal Dark Reapers (Eldar) from back in the early 2000s!
