Here's a Games Workshop product among the few that has been sidelined for a while. It's latest update was four years ago, which some additional teams hitting the ranks. Blood Bowl is getting a revamp in "Season 2".
With only five major updates in the past this is the newest addition to the list. According to the developers of the franchise, there has been more effort put forth for this to make it easier to "pick up and play" but also "bigger, better and 100% more Blood Bowl". What the 100% more Blood Bowl is for now, is a mystery - but we've been assured there will be ultra-violent and ultra-fun and possibly even more competitive.
Much like the 9th Edition of Warhammer 40,000 - the makers have collected the feedback from players and modellers alike to make this release its best one yet while keeping it to the core of Blood Bowl.
They have teased the release date being in Christmas Season there is plenty time to grab a 2016 Blood Bowl set to get to grips with the game before a seasonal update!
